Dozens of Dallas-area restaurants are cutting prices on October 31 to help families manage holiday expenses. The offers range from free meals for children in costume to discounts on popular desserts and delivery orders.

Applebee's and Denny's are leading the pack with straightforward deals for parents. Applebee's provides a free meal for children aged 12 and under in costume when an adult buys an entrée at select locations. Denny's follows a similar model, offering one free kids' meal per adult entrée purchase for dine-in guests, with a maximum of two free meals per ticket.

Other major chains are using specific codes or app features to distribute their savings. Outback Steakhouse requires the code SPOOKYFREE for a free kids' meal with an adult entrée, available for dine-in or online orders. Red Lobster extends its promotion through November 1, allowing up to two free kids' meals per table for guests in costume. Wendy's offers a one dollar Boo! Book through November 1, which includes five free Jr. Frosty coupons and one coupon for a $1.99 kids' meal.

Sweet tooth savings are also widespread across the metro area. Krispy Kreme will give one free Original Glazed or Classic Ring doughnut to anyone wearing a Halloween costume on October 30 or 31, with no purchase required. Edible Arrangements is discounting select Halloween treats by 30% through October 31 using the code TREAT30, with prices starting at $54.99 before the discount.

Diners can also save on full meals through various app-based promotions. Chipotle's annual Boorito promotion returns, offering a $6 entrée for rewards members in costume between 3 p.m. and closing. Burger King is selling a limited-time Vampire's Bite Strawberry & Sprite for $3.59, while KFC is offering 50 nuggets for $20 on the holiday.

The promotions run through various dates in late October and early November. Rusty Taco offers a free kids' meal with a $20 purchase from October 26 through November 1. Nothing Bundt Cakes launched its OREO Dirt Cake Bundtlet on October 26, a product that will remain available alongside its Pumpkin Spice Cake through November 29.

Families should verify specific restrictions with their local restaurant before visiting. Some offers require a rewards membership, a specific promo code, or a purchase threshold. Availability may vary by location and time of day.
