Gwinnett County police arrested a 19-year-old man on Thursday following the fatal shooting of two teenage brothers near their residence in Lawrenceville.

The brothers were identified as Jordan Ellebb, 17, and Antoine Ellebb, 14. They were both students at Collins Hill High School, where Jordan was a senior and Antoine was a freshman. Jordan had planned to take the SAT in December and attend college. Antoine enjoyed riding four-wheelers. Their sister, Teaja Ellebb, said the boys had recently transferred to the school.

Police charged Alexander Canela-Panchi with two counts of felony murder. Warrants indicate the suspect was selling THC vape cartridges at the time of the incident. Canela-Panchi remains in custody. Teaja Ellebb stated that her last message to Jordan earlier on Wednesday was a prayer for his safe return home.

Teaja Ellebb described the moment she arrived at the scene. She said she nearly crashed her car and had to step out to steady herself before her boyfriend continued driving. She said she could barely bring herself to exit the vehicle upon arrival. The family has launched a GoFundMe page to support their costs during this time.

The shooting occurred on Wednesday night near the family home in Gwinnett County. Jordan had expressed a desire to finish high school alongside his sister. Antoine was known for his love of adventure and helping others. Teaja Ellebb said the family is not yet ready to define their future.
