Kaylee Cox returned to her high school home court on Oct. 20 with the Dallas Pulse, marking the team's first public appearance since winning the Major League Volleyball championship. The professional outside hitter, who hails from Flower Mound, joined the team to watch the varsity squad play Hebron and to introduce local fans to the 2027 campaign.

The Pulse won the MLV title in its inaugural season, securing a $1 million prize. The team will now defend that crown in Frisco, where it will play 13 home games at Comerica Center. Cox, a 6-foot-3 player who played college ball at Western Kentucky and Missouri, used the visit to reconnect with former coaches and teachers. She said the program under Head Coach Jamie Siegel continues to perform well.

Cox cited the 2018 Class 6A state championship as her favorite memory from her time at Flower Mound High School. "The best memory I had was winning the 2018 state championship when no one thought we could," Cox said. "We were a young team, but we fought every day to be in a position to win on any night."

The team announced its 13-game home schedule on Oct. 30. Single-game tickets go on sale Nov. 4. The season opens Jan. 8 against the Atlanta Vibe. Other opponents include the Omaha Supernovas, Orlando Valkyries, Minnesota Forge, and the Vegas Thrill. The final home game is scheduled for April 24 against the Indy Ignite.

Head Coach Shannon Winzer returns for her second season, joined by new assistants Jamille Torres and Robert Poole. Cox is one of three players returning from the championship roster, alongside opposite hitter Kelsie Payne and middle blocker Layne Van Buskirk. The 2027 roster also includes international athletes and players with prior professional experience. The team will participate in the MLV Draft on Nov. 23 and unveil its official mascot in December.

Cox described the current roster as a group with substantial professional experience. She said the team will focus on building chemistry and improving during the offseason. "Don’t take a single practice for granted," Cox said. "I think our biggest goal is to get back to that championship match and compete again for the title."
